Black Hair Care Regime

Whether your hair is curly, kinky, wavy or straight, it is essential that you adopt a general hair care regime. So if you don’t have one now, today is a good day to start. Below you will find a beneficial guideline to start your healthy hair care regime.

1. Use natural shampoos that DOES not contain the following ingredients.

Ammonium Laural Sulfate, and Ammonium Laureth Sulfate. These ingredients cause bubbles and or suds when shampooing your hair, but they also strip all the oil and moisture your hair and scalp needs to stay healthy.

2. Follow your shampoo with a good protein conditioner such as Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayonnaise or Mizani Kerafuse Intensive Protein Treatment. Since hair is mostly made of protein, a good protein treatment restores hair and brings dry, brittle hair back to life.

3. Instead of grease, use organic oils on your scalp such as olive, jojoba, or coconut oil. And use creams such as organic, unrefined Shea butter to moisturize your hair.

4. For straight styles, wrap your hair at night, and for braids and other curly styles, etc make sure you tie your hair down at night with a silk scarf.

Bottom line: you must adopt a hair care regime in order to achieve or maintain healthy black hair, an always remember that moisture is key to keep elascity and health in African American Hair.
