How to Style Your Baby’s Hair (Quick Ponytails)
There is no doubt that your baby’s African American Hair can be a challenge to style and maintain. But when time is in a crunch, and you just have to get going fast, the ponytails are life savers!
But, my darlings, if you want your child’s “quickie” ponytail style to last, you got to treat their hair right. What do I mean by that? Well, just like we will condition, shampoo, and style our hair, we must put the same time and care in to our baby’s hair. Their strands need love too!
So below I set a quick tutorial on how to do a quick but effective style for your baby’s hair that will keep it looking fresh all day long.
Shampoo:
I just took braids out of my daughter Sydney’s hair, so I of course shampooed it before I did another hair style. This gets all the dirt and grime out of your baby’s hair and gets it ready for the next style.

Before the Shampoo

During Shampoo

After Shampoo
So Now that I’ve got her hair all nice and clean I then put a little Moisturizer in it and then comb it out into 4 sections.

A Little Moisturizer, combed out, and parted in 4 sections

The product that works best for my baby hair, Going organic though (Burt's Bees)

Parted and separated into 4 sections to comb each section out

Start the process of Moisturizing and Combing each section

Combing out with a Wide Tooth Comb of course. I don't want to torture my baby!
So After I comb her hair out, and make sure it’s well moisturized and her scalp, as well as her hair, is conditioned, I began to style her hair.

General zig zag part design. A classic if I must say.

Brush the hair together to form a ponytail.

Hold hair in place in order to apply the ponytail holder.

Apply the ponytail holder.
After you apply the ponytail holders, You will have a finishing look that will last and look fresh all day long!

AND WAH LA! A Beautiful Ending.
